Puppy Socialisation Checklist

The following are some of the things that your puppy must be introduced to at an early age. It is not a complete list. Everyone’s lifestyle is different and you will need to add your own items to these basics.

We use an old baby buggy (bought from a car boot sale) with a cardboard box to take our puppies out. This keeps them safely off the ground. We allow them to walk in the countryside, but not on pavements, in parks, or close to car parking areas where other dogs have fouled.

Try to let your puppy experience as many as possible of each of the following.
Print this page and tick each new experience.

Remember all experiences must be positive and controlled so that your puppy learns to accept everyday life without being afraid.
